This is a 2 years course which is designed to enhance nursing
skills of the professionals who already have a background in
nursing or a similar field.
Jahanara Nursing College Admissions Criteria.
Applicants who meet the following requirements will be
considered for admission to the the B.Sc in Nursing(Post
Basic) program at Jahanara Nursing College.
Admissions eligibility for local students:
The
applicant must be a Bangladeshi citizen.
The
candidate must have completed a Diploma in Nursing, a
Diploma in Midwifery/ Orthopaedics, or a Diploma in Nursing
Science and Midwifery from an institution approved/
affiliated by the Bangladesh Nursing Council.
Staff registration must be updated by Bangladesh Nursing
Council.
Graduate of the Diploma in Nursing Science and Midwifery
program with a GPA of at least 2.00 on your transcript.
The
candidate must attend a preliminary exam organized by BNC
and have to obtain at least 40% marks.
Jahanara Nursing College Admissions Criteria.
Applicants who meet the following requirements will be
considered for admission to the the B.Sc in Nursing(Post
Basic) program at Jahanara Nursing College.
Admissions eligibility for foreign students:
The
applicants must have passed both O'level and A'level exams
with a total CGPA of 6.00 but not less than GPA 2.50 in
either O'level or A'level examination.
The
candidate must have completed a Diploma in Nursing, a
Diploma in Midwifery/ Orthopaedics, or a Diploma in Nursing
Science and Midwifery from any reputed nursing institution
Students who meet the aforementioned conditions will be
allowed to study at Jahanara Nursing College in Bangladesh.
One-third of all seats will be designated for overseas
students. If no appropriate candidates are found,
Bangladeshi students may be accepted to fill the vacancy.
Foreign students must have their application form, O'level
and A'level or equivalent certificate, and transcript
confirmed by their Ministry of Foreign Affairs and sent to
the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh on time. The
Ministry of Foreign Affairs will forward it to the Director
General, Nursing and Midwifery Council. Bangladesh Nursing
and Midwifery Council will take the required procedures to
equalize marks and other criteria with the authorization of
the Health education and family welfare division. The
Ministry of Foreign Affairs will allow admission with mark
equalize report from the Council.
Student Registration:
According to BNMC rules and regulations, students must
registered after admission.
N.B. JNC's admission Committee will have complete authority
to take any decision.
